How to join the PicoLisp Community

...and meet more PicoLisp enthusiasts

One of the coolest things about PicoLisp is its small community. We all love PicoLisp and love helping anyone who wants to learn more about the language.

There are several ways to get in touch with the community.

IRC Channel

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat and is a text-based chat editor where you can find active users practically daily. Check out the #picolisp channel on Libera.chat.

If you don't want to install a dedicated IRC client, it is possible to connect directly from browser by accessing Libera.chat in the browser and clicking on "webchat" option on the upper right "Connect"-button.

You will be prompted for username and channel. For the channel use #picolisp. The username can be freely chosen, there is no need to sign up or give any additional information.

After typing username and channel, you should be redirected to the chatroom. Welcome!

Mailing List

If you prefer mail over chat, you can also subscribe to the PicoLisp Mailing List. You can also browse and search through previous mails in the PicoLisp Mail Archive or receive some news, hints and insights via Twitter.

To sign up for the mailing list, send an email with the subject "Subscribe" to or just click here: PicoLisp Mailing List.

Browsing previous chats and mails

You are worried that your question is so obvious that it has been already asked hundreds of times...? Or just want to check out the activity before signing up? To browse previous chats and mails, check out the PicoLisp Mail Archive and the IRC Logger.

Hope to see you there!
